This is a prototype reproduction for Earthbound Zero for the NES in English. This is from the ever popular series in Japan called "Mother". For some reason, it was never released in the US on the NES system. But a English prototype was found. That is from the original prototype. There is an alternate label for this game, you can choose either one. You can find the Alternate label by following the link below.

Mother, known by most as EarthBound Zero, is by far one of my favorite games of all time. Now trust me whan I say I'm not a big fan of RPGs. Trust me, I've tried to play games like Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest, but I could never get in to it. But EarthBound has a way of pulling you in and refusing to let go.
Prehapes it the brillent, witty script written by the ingenious Shigesato Itoi. Prehapes it the familiar and relatable American theme of the game, uncommon at it's time. Or prehapes its the depth in every detail of the game. There are so many small secrets thoughout the game, you must explore every inch of the game's massive world to fully experience the element of this game that makes it so great. It is a pure shame that this truely classic game was not released in America as it was meant to be, but don't pass the oprotunity to play it now, as it was meant to be played.

Way ahead of its time! i enjoyed the exponential pacing of the plot. in other words the story doesn't truley pick up till you are close to the end.

It's a shame this game was never released in America! It has great humor and interesting game play. This is definitely not your average run-of-the mill RPG, and it's great to play it on a real NES. Plus, since Earthbound was made somewhat later in the NES's life cycle, it looks and sounds great for an NES game. Earthbound deserves your $!

The Prototype of Mother, a Japanese RPG that takes place in the current day. It is great to play the most original gmae on the nes on the console as it was always intended to. I highly recommend this game, as in manages to break the traditional RPG mold in a way even I never thought Possible.

Its a shame that this game was never officially released! Not only is it fun, but it manages to break the RPG mold by presenting what would otherwise be a generic RPG in an original format and style. Overall, I highly recommend this game, given its originality factor and the overall fun experience it gives to the player. (Also, playing it on the console it was intended for is always a plus!)
